Seamless glazing
The VIEWMAX™ seamless glazing system is the ideal combination of excellent player safety, spectator visibility and conversion friendliness. It does not have any glazing posts. The VIEWMAX™ significantly improves the spectator’s and TV audience’s view and the outward appearance of the rink. The upper part of the dasher frame on HORNIUM™-dasherboard has a special shielding fastening system called DROP IN™. No tools are needed to install and remove the shielding: it is very quick and easy to use. The VIEWMAX™ seamless glazing is available with the HORNIUM™ -dasher board systems.
FlexPost™-player friendly supports
The patented RAITA FLEXPOST™ supported shielding is suitable for ice hockey arenas, where player safety is an important issue. Raita FLEXPOST™ is made of flexible and light weight polycarbonate. Raita FLEXPOST™ support posts and shielding panels can be easily and quickly installed and removed without need of any tools or opening/loosening of any screws. Therefore Raita FLEXPOST™ shielding with OPTIUM™ dasher board is very conversion friendly and easy to maintain.
Shielding with Raita FLEXPOST™ can be 8mm PC, 10 mm PC 12 mm PC or 15 mm Acrylic. The Raita FLEXPOST™ shielding is available with OPTIUM™ dasher boards.
Alusafe™ – Glazing supports
The ALUSAFE™ post supported glazing is suitable for ice hockey arenas where the need for conversions is less frequent than in multi purpose arenas. The anodised ALUSAFE™ is designed to be safe, good-looking and easy to use. Supporting posts are attached to the frame and glass is supported by them. Protective shields are placed into the slot between the post and locking plate, which is fastened to the face of the post. Posts are used with single framed dasher board systems.
HDR™ (The Heavy Duty Release post) -posts are fastened into the steel frame with sockets. Posts are quick to install and remove. The frame sockets are installed on the dasher board frame during the first installation. In the aluminum systems, posts are pre-installed through the top sill. Over 20 years of work, experience and development in glazing support and tempering of the glass has given us the lowest glass breakage rate in the industry. ALUSAFE™ is compatible with OPTIUM™ dasher boards.
Steelsafe™ – Glazing supports
The STEELSAFE™ post supported glazing is the most popular system with steel frame dasher boards. The STEELSAFE™ supported glazing is suitable for ice hockey arenas where the need for conversions is rare. STEELSAFE™ is designed to be safe and easy to use. STEELSAFE™ -glazing support consists of two components: a hot-dip galvanised tubular steel post and flat anodised aluminum facing profile with rounded corners. STEELSAFE™ posts are hot-dip galvanized according to the SFS-EN ISO 1461 standard for maximum corrosion resistance. Inside surface is smooth, safe and doesn’t cause any difficult puck bounces. Supported glazing is solid, resilient and safe. Our glazing breakage rate is very low. STEELSAFE™ glazing supports and glasses are easy to install, remove and store and after re-install they still work perfectly.
Polycarbonate Cassette shields
Polycarbonate cassette shields have been recognised among the customers for their simplicity and easy manner of installation. Polycarbonate cassette shields are user friendly and the system is light and easy to handle. It is suitable for small competition and training level arenas. Polycarbonate cassette shields are made of 8 mm polycarbonate sheets that are supported by a steel frame. They are strongly made and safe to use. The steel frames of the Polycarbonate cassette shields are welded of tubular steel and are hotdip galvanised. Polycarbonate shields are standing in the grooves of the polyethylene U-profiles freely. They will not crack or pop out. Polycarbonate cassette shields are installed into sockets, that are attached to the frame of the dasher section. Installation is quick and easy. The sockets are detachable. Therefore the cassettes can be upgraded into post supported glazing if needed.
Steelnet Cassette shields
Steelnet cassette shields are suitable for school and leisure rinks. They have been recognised among the customers for their simplicity and easy manner of installation. Steelnet cassette shields are made of extremely strong galvanised steel (3 mm wire). The size of the mesh is 40 x 40 mm. The frame is made of galvanised tubular steel. The net is fastened to the steel frame with a riveted flat steel bar. Net cassettes are installed into sockets, that are attached to the frame of the dasher section. Installation is quick and easy. The sockets are detachable. Therefore the cassettes can be upgraded into post supported glazing if needed. The cassette size always matches the section size. Steelnet cassette shields are compatible with ALL ROUND™ dasher board systems.
Raita HDHT™
The tempered glass that we use is toughened by the American tempering method. This principle has been recognised as the best method available. RAITA SPORT uses its own tempering recipe (HDHT™), which has given us the lowest glass breakage rate in the industry. Our standard glass is 12 mm and 15 mm thick and it meets the DIN 18036 standard.
